you can also fish for the prize, large
Mahasheer, a game fish, which is considered
an excellent catch, at the mighty Karnali
river. This river also provides superb
rafting trips and expeditions according
to the clients needs.
Accommodation at Bardia Bardia Jungle Cottage
is in attractive tharu style bungalows
which reflects the prominent local culture
with hot and cold showers and western
style of flushing toilets. In order
not to disturb the natural habitats
of the serene jungle atmosphere, we
use only kerosene lamps and candles.
In the main dining room and some rooms
we also have solar power system. Plans
are underway top fully implement solar
power throughout.
ACCCESS
There are regular daily flights
from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival
at the Nepaljung airport you are picked
up by our staff and driven to Bardia
Bardia Jungle Cottage - a two hour drive. There
is also bus drive but it takes 16 hours
one way form Kathmandu to Nepaljung
and Bardia. By private vechiles the
drives is about 12 hours.
We suggest a minimum of three nights
at Bardia in order to appreciate what
Bardia as a destination has to offer,
in terms of a unique wildlife experience.
More than three nights will make you
fully appreciate and participate in
most of the activities and view more
wildlife game.
